It’s not always easy to book hotels that match all desired preferences especially for business travelers. Sometimes it's a last-minute work trip, and few accommodations are available in the destination city. It's rewarding to find quality accommodations that align not just with travel preferences but also travel needs. Staying in hotels that make you or your employees feel comfortable, that put you and/or them at ease, and that allow for quality rest, ensures everyone is able to do and complete their best work.
First Impression
I was a bit apprehensive about booking a business stay at the Palms Casino Resort because of the mixed and mostly dated reviews on Yelp. I ultimately took a chance and booked a King room in the Fantasy Tower. Fun Fact: This property was closed for nearly two years, but is now on the upswing after some ownership changes and the introduction of new restaurants and features. The Palms Casino Resort is located about a mile west of the Las Vegas Strip on Flamingo Road. It's about a $22 Lyft ride from Macarran International now known as Harry Reid International Airport. If you opt to rent a car instead, the resort offers free parking. The resort charms with modern rooms, an array of trendy restaurants and an amazing concert venue that hosts an array of entertainers. Upon arrival, check-in was smooth and I was able to check-in to my room early at no extra charge (this may vary for others).
Review
The Fantasy King Room is a 510 sq ft room located in the Fantasy Tower, with floor-to-ceiling views. It boasts a king sized bed, 65" television, and marble bathroom. Other room highlights include fully stocked marble minibar, walk-in shower, and a fairly spacious work desk. The room is filled with several displays of visually appealing curated art. Two in-room phones are available for use, should there be the need for multiple guests to need to use the phone at the same time. There is also an in-room alarm clock, with wake-up service available upon request. A modern highlight to this room are the wall controls near the room entrance door to indicate whether you would like housekeeping or if you would prefer not to be disturbed. A perfect room addition for a business traveler that wants no interruptions or distractions while on a business call or video chat.

The Final Score
The Palm's dubs this room as the perfect place to recharge for your next adventure. I attest to that as this is a great property to enjoy that great mix of work/life balance. Although located in a casino, the room is still a setting that promotes productivity and rest. It is a space to get business handled but also to relax and unwind. In addition, the customer service here is outstanding which is rare these days. Palms is definitely doing something right in their interview process and hiring the right hospitable people. Everyone from the valet to the front desk staff, to the pool servers and lifeguards were all very pleasant. Notable mentions are: Tommy the Bellhop, Lashanda the Supervisor, Mulapi the Security, and May the Server at Serrano. I highly recommed for a business or personal stay.
